2010 Market Calendar
JULY 11–OCT 31, 2010
Sundays, 10am–2pm
Pearl Street, West Acton Village
Welcome to the ABFM's second season! More of what you love from returning vendors, plus additional produce and goods from vendors new to the market. And don't forget our ABFM recycled grocery bags and beautiful new ABFM aprons!
Please stop by the ABFM table at market to learn more about the importance of "local," "organic," "sustainable," and other issues in food, agriculture, health, environment, and economy.
Who are our 2010 Vendors? Farmers and specialty goods producers from local communities, offering the freshest vegetables and fruits, as well as honey, meat, and specialty goods such as breads, cheeses, baked treats, jams, bagels, handmade soaps, and more. The ABFM also features children's activities, community education, music, and the work of area artisans.

Master Gardener Kristi Twichell on COMPOSTING!
Why is composting so important? Will it make my yard smell? Can I compost if I don't have much room?
These are questions that Master Gardener (and ABFM board member) Kristi Twichell often hears during her vegetable gardening classes. The truth is that almost anyone can create compost — known reverentially as "black gold" in gardening circles. Learn the basics of composting; it doesn't have to be complicated!
